The Glimmering World of Gold Jewelry - Great For Gifts

Tip! List the cost all the materials and tools you used for making the jewelry.

Undoubtedly, gold remains as the ultimate medium of
jewelry expression. For thousands of years, gold has
beguiled man with its beauty, its warm luster and glow
and its amazing attributes. Artisans and jewelers have
crafted gold into stunning pieces of jewelry that are
priceless and eternal. Gold is one of the most precious
of earth’s metals. It can be found almost anywhere but
it is very difficult to extract pure gold. Although
platinum is more expensive, gold remains unsurpassed as
the most popular jewelry metal. As it does not corrode
or rust, gold jewelry is exceptionally durable. It is
also very malleable and pliable: a single ounce of gold
can be drawn into a thin wire stretching almost 5
miles. In fact it is the most malleable and ductile
metal known to man.

Tip! Another common way of finishing sterling silver jewelry is nickel plating. Although nickel plating is illegal in some countries, most of the Italian silver jewelry sold in the market today is plated with nickel.

Pure gold or 24-karat gold is soft and pliable. That is
why it is mixed with other metals to increase its
durability. Karat quality determines the purity of
gold. For instance, 14-karat gold is 14 parts pure gold
mixed with 10 parts of a base metal. The higher the
karat rating is, the higher the proportion of pure
gold. Most gold jewelry pieces are marked with its
karat quality. This helps you verify that the product
you are viewing are truly made of gold. Gold is crafted
into an endless myriad of jewelry pieces such as rings,
chains, bracelets, charms, pendants, brooches, earrings
and others. Moreover, because of the many amazing
qualities of gold have many other uses. It is used in
dentistry, coinage and for industrial purposes. The
value of gold forms the base of monetary standard by
many nations.

Buying gold jewelry is an excellent investment. Any
jewelry collection would not be complete without any
gold jewelry. Its radiant, sensual and warm quality
make it the preferred metal used in wedding rings and
other jewelry meant to be given to a loved one. When
buying gold jewelry there are some important things to
consider. One of these is the karat quality, as
mentioned above. The different karat qualities include
10-karat gold, 14-karat gold and 18-karat gold.
However, some gold jewelry is not necessarily purely
made of gold. Jewelry can also be plated with gold.
This means that a base metal is coated with a layer of
gold. In time, the layer of gold will wear away
depending on how often the piece is worn. Other terms
you should know about gold jewelry include gold-filled,
gold overlay, and rolled gold plate.

Tip! Finally, take not of all the other expenses that is related to your jewelry making. This could include the rent of the stall in the trade fair you joined, or the website maintenance expenses, or the telephone charges you got from calling contacts.

When choosing gold jewelry, it is important to know its
qualities and characteristics. Gold jewelry has many
finishes such as matte gold, which is achieved by using
an abrasive, resulting in a dull and non-reflective
surface. Another kind of finish is the high-polish
finish, where the jewelry is polished to an almost
mirror-like shine. Gemstones and other metals that can
be inlaid with the gold itself add another dimension of
beauty and value, although gold is simply stunning by
itself. Choose a piece of gold jewelry that matches
your personality. Whether it is a simple gold chain, a
ring engraved with your names or a chunky gold
bracelet, you will find the gold jewelry piece that
exudes your personality. Moreover, wearing it also
enhances the way you look, giving you class and style.
Without a doubt, gold continues to enamor men and
women, and continues to be the ultimate jewelry metal.

Tip! Hold the stone or jewelry similarly in the other hand.

Fulfill a Wedding Tradition with Estate Bridal Jewelry

Own A Jewelry Business For Less Than $50. Find out where to buy New Diamond Jewelry 90-95% Below Retail Cost.

We all know the old verse “Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” But it’s way more than a verse, its something many brides follow to the rule. So why not fulfill a wedding tradition with estate bridal jewelry?

Future brides from every corner of the globe try very hard to follow this little verse. Their wedding gowns, accessories and jewelry must all play into this little verse. What’s really great is that estate bridal jewelry can fill the requirements very easy! Let’s look at each portion of the vers.

Tip! ) Always apply make-up, perfumes, oils or colognes before you put on your jewelry.

Something old

could be a piece of bridal jewelry that is a family heirloom. It may come from the brides side of the family or the grooms side. It may have been owned by a mother, a grandmother, or even just a traditional piece that is worn by all brides in the family. And if there is no family heirloom bridal jewelry not to worry, you are certainly not alone. That’s where estate jewelry can fill the gap. Find a piece of estate jewelry you love and adore, buy it, wear it. You’ll keep the tradition of something old alive and well!

Something new

Not much explaining to do here. New is a pretty easy bill to fill. There are thousands of online stores and brick and mortar stores offering a great mix of modern stylish jewelry that is perfect as bridal jewelry. But wait! Estate jewelry can help here too. Not all estate jewelry is very old. Estate simply means previously owned and that means by looking at estate jewelry that dates within the last year you can often find that perfect piece that may never have been worn and meets the something new requirement. The added bonus is you won’t look like every other bride because your bridal jewelry will have a unique look all of its own

Tip! Some silver jewelry has a black antique look to cater to certain consumers. These items are processed by putting the jewelry into chemical solution to oxide the silver before polishing and the pricing is similar to that of high polished ones.

Something borrowed

May require the most thought. After all most brides want their look to be theirs complete with their own choices in bridal jewelry. Remember borrowing that special piece from a friend or family member can add the finishing touches to your look and it can save you thousands of dollars. Gemstones aren’t cheap! And if you have no one to borrow from never fear there are many retailers that rent out beautiful estate jewelry for weddings. This fulfills your need for something borrowed and you get the added effect of something beautiful and unique.

Something blue

Is your final quest and can be quite an easy task. The most important is to remember there are thousands of shades of blue and you’ll want to choose one that matches your attire. You can choose from sapphires, aqua marines, or even blue pearls to name a few. Your blue can be bold and noticeable or it can be just a hint of blue. Once again estate jewelry comes through. You can find a beautiful piece of jewelry that is unique and affordable and of the highest quality by shopping for estate jewelry.

Tip! Another common way of finishing sterling silver jewelry is nickel plating. Although nickel plating is illegal in some countries, most of the Italian silver jewelry sold in the market today is plated with nickel.

On your wedding day you are the attraction and you’ll want to look your very best for this important occasion. Choosing estate bridal jewelry will do it’s part to make you look gorgeous and it will have you radiant as you waltz down the aisle!

Tips For Choosing The Ideal Jewelry To Match Your Wedding Dress

Tip! The most expensive way of finishing sterling silver jewelry is using Rhodium. Rhodium is a precious metal that is even more expensive than silver.

I think that the best place to start when making plans for your wedding is turn to your dreams. Let’s face it, we are women, and we’ve had a picture painted in our minds of how this day “should be” since we could pick buds and blooms from our mothers’ rose bushes and pretend that we were brides. So we’ve had a pretty good idea of what we are looking for long before we actually set ourselves free in the endless sea of choices in styles, colors, themes, and even textures of the wedding world.

One of the first things that most brides will do is start to shop for their dress. Sometimes, as I did, you will find that the “Perfect Princess Dress” that you always thought you’d have, just doesn’t work for you. But this is absolutely fine, at least it will give you a place to start and you can take it from there. I would also suggest trying on everything that even slightly tickles your fancy. You may be surprised at what you like and what you do not. The only reason that I mention this in an article on choosing your jewelry is because life will be much easier if you choose your dress prior to choosing your accessories, not the other way around.

Tip! Online Jewelry Shops - you may also take advantage of the convenience afforded by technology by selling your products online. The great thing about online shops is you could reach a wide market without having to leave your house.

First, take into consideration the cut of your dress. A sleeveless dress can carry a different shape of necklace and allow for more space on your chest for decoration. A halter-cut may be more appropriate for a very simple, single strand necklace or you may want to skip a necklace all together and focus on a pretty pair of earrings and a bracelet. Keep in mind that these are only suggestions and make decisions that will make you happy, it is your day after all!

Tip! Hold the stone or jewelry similarly in the other hand.

Second, have a good look at the way that your dress is decorated. It could have a very large pattern that covers the entire dress with sequins and pearls form head to toe. Or, it could be very simple with the only accents being in the cuts of the fabric such as different layering of materials, gathers, or pleats. The overall style of the dress is a crucial detail to consider when choosing jewelry that will compliment your ensemble. If you do not take the style of your dress into consideration, you could end up with a result that looks awkward and takes away from the over-all look that you’ve set out to accomplish.

Tip! ) For a slightly more ‘in-depth’ cleaning you may want to use a liquid jewelry cleaner.

With simpler dresses, I would suggest going with jewelry that is more elaborate such as the Swarovski Three Point Crystal Necklace (see link below). Necklaces with this much detail work well with dresses that don’t have much beadwork and really give the dress the classic statement that it deserves.

With dresses that have alot of detail, I would suggest jewelry that will follow the theme of decorations in the dress, but go with something that will not understate the dress. For a dress that has a lot of sequins and pearls over the entire bodice, the Swarovski Crystal and Single to Double Pearl Necklace (see link below) would be the perfect companion.

Tip! List the cost all the materials and tools you used for making the jewelry.

Make sure that all of your jewelry coordinates. You don’t have to buy a set, although it would make your job of getting a classic look much easier and guarantee a flawless match. But if you decide to “mix and match” your jewelry, be sure that they have common elements, such as shapes, colors, styles or stones.

Finally, if you have a very unusual dress, such as a family heirloom and you are having trouble finding jewelry that matches, visit the Brilliant Wedding Jewelry website. They can match colors, sizes, and cuts of Swarovski pearls and crystals that will compliment your perfect dress.
